Company managers trained to save lives before ambulance arrival

The training took place at the Regional Academy of Tactical Medicine and First Aid (RATMED) in St. Petersburg. As a reminder, the first aid regulations changed on September 1 of last year. These changes also apply to private security personnel, who are now required to provide medical assistance to victims before emergency services arrive.

An academy instructor, equipped with the necessary medical tools, demonstrated proper techniques for applying tourniquets and bandages, performing artificial respiration, and using a defibrillator – a device that can restart the heart function. Various real-life scenarios were discussed, along with the correct course of action before medical professionals arrive. Additionally, the training covered the updated contents of first aid kits in accordance with the latest legal requirements.
